Theodoros Kalotinis was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete. Everything started early. From his school years, his daily habit was collecting herbs and flowers for his herbarium. His love for nature and scents developed early, as he grew up with his grandmother, who was a native of Smyrna.

On weekends, their favorite pastime was spending time in his grandmother’s kitchen, filled with herbs and spices. Little blindfolded Theo had to recognize the herbs and spices placed under his nose. She made the tastiest desserts for him, using the most flavorful ingredients that he loved from a young age. In this way, he practiced his sense of smell, and his childhood game became a lifelong skill.

During adolescence, he became a perfume collector. Some years later, as a self-made perfumer starting with nothing but his passion and dream of perfumery, he wanted to create his own perfume using ingredients from Greek nature. In 2012, he began experimenting. Day by day, and through relentless hours of testing, he developed his own patented method for creating perfumes that combine unique raw materials of high perfumery with alcohol distilled from natural grapes. In 2014, he officially launched his first fragrances on the market. His pursuit of olfactory excellence was further honed through studies in Chemistry, a master’s degree in Cosmetic Science, and specialised international training in fragrance creation.

Today, the house of Theodoros Kalotinis Perfumer carries the name of its creator and is the first Greek artisan perfume house that transformed the most delicious desserts into inspiration. People from all over the world and the biggest beauty and fashion magazines, such as Vogue France, Elle, and L’Officiel, as well as TV shows and media, characterize him as “the king of gourmands” because he loves to transform his favorite desserts into fragrances with a realistic touch like no other.

The success of the house peaked in 2018 when Theodoros Kalotinis created personal perfumes for King Charles III and Queen Camilla. After discovering his talent, the brand’s growing reputation expanded gradually worldwide through social media and mass communication.

To this day, he has supplied numerous Greek and international celebrities with his perfumes. It is the combination of classic elegance and high-quality natural ingredients that captivates the hearts and trust of those who appreciate perfumes known for their distinctiveness and authenticity.
