In Rome, Epiphany has particular flavors and scents. Piazza Navona dresses up like a big party. A teem of people and colors crowds the Fountain of the Four Rivers, surrounded by stalls. Portraitists and caricatures, cotton candy and balloons decorate the baroque architecture with Fellinian touches. The befana flies on her sage broom and brings gifts welcome to everyone, sweets but also small bags of sugary charcoal. Adults and children, on January 6, in Rome have no age.
